BRAIN CONFLICTS ON WHICH FORMAT SHOULD BE USED TO CAPTURE PHOTO? RAW OR JPEG

INTRODUCTION

-JPEG(JOINT PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERT GROUP)
eg bhudki.jpeg

If you want simple photographs then this format is made for you. These formats are compressed using an image-processing algorithm that reduces file size partly by reducing the amount of information the images contain. This format is for quick and easy shots. Generally, this type of format is used in internet sources besides other png, TIFF, gif, etc. This file format is used by basic or new photographers to make them easy to capture and use.

-RAW
eg bhudki.RAW

If you want detailed advance shots then I prefer you to use raw format. This provides advanced photography properties. Professional photographers generally capture in raw format (even if the final file needed is JPEG). This is for advanced photographers ie. these photos need to be converted to use in a casual way.

PROS AND CONS
Everything has pros and cons like this these formats have both pros and cons.

PROS
1. JPEG is a commonly used format. This type of file is easy in processing, editing, capture, upload, and many more uses. This format is found default in DSLR’s camera. Mostly basic/new photographers are using this type of Format. These formats do not need any editing for printing .due to having small size these images do not take time to print out. these images are auto processed by camera itself.

2. RAW is used for commercial purposes for creating banners, advertisiment.these images provide high-quality image files. these images are captured with a sensor within camera .it provide more colors and enhance photo increasing brightness.these file format are used by graphics designers designing large scale image. this format has more information than another jpeg, png gif, and others. White balance can easily be edited in this type of format.

CONS
1.JPEG these format photographs do not have more details like RAW. Due to editing in photo processing software there can be loss of details. This format photographs are small and low-quality images as compared to RAW.these photographs are highly compressed for easy use .these format cant be used in frames after printing .printed jpeg photographs loose detail white balance and contain scratches .this type photo format contain less color.

2.RAW these photographs are highly detailed so it uses large storage so fewer photographs can be saved in the camera. these formats are not automatically processed so it needs Softwares (adobe lightroom and camera RAW) for processing images.ie it’s compulsory to processing this workflow is not convenient for the casual storing and sharing of files. Photo processing is not understood by basic level photographers.

NOTE-First try out the jpeg format understand the basic terms related in jpeg format then you can start using raw format because it is the very advanced level format.
