Basic Detail on Coronavirus : 

Coronaviruses cause diseases in mammals and birds that include diarrhea in cows and pigs, and upper respiratory disease in chickens. In humans, the Coronavirus causes respiratory infections, which are often mild, but in rare cases are potentially lethal. There are no vaccines or antiviral drugs that are approved for prevention or treatment of Coronavirus. Coronavirus usually cause mild to moderate upper-respiratory tract illnesses, like the common cold.

Update : While creating this post, number of coronavirus patient was more in country China, then in Nepal. 

Symptoms of coronavirus :

Coronavirus Symptoms include : runny nose, headache, cough, sore throat, fever, feeling of being unwell.

Diagnosis of coronavirus :

Doctors or hospital may require laboratory tests on respiratory specimens & serum (part of your blood) to detect human coronaviruses infection. They might ask you about your recent travel and also about animals to whom you are being near recently.

Transmission of Coronavirus to human :

From infected to normal human being, coronavirus may tranfer via following means : coughing, sneezing, shaking hands, coming to contact with infected human and rarely others means too.

Prevention methods of coronavirus :

  • See your doctor regularly
  • Wash hands with soap
  • Drink plenty of liquids
  • As much as possible, stay and relax in home.
  • Depending upon doctors advice, you might take Fever and Pain medications.



Recent Nepal News Update on Coronavirus infection and detection in Nepalese Citizen :

The 1st case of coronavirus reported in Nepal, infected 32 year old youth was recently returned from China. Swab sample was sent to Hongkong, and was confirmed later that he was indeed infected with coronavirus.

“WHO had earlier warned that the coronavirus responsible for the outbreak of pneumonia in the central city of Wuhan could also enter Nepal.”
